It is ideally suited for defense, commercial aerospace, and industrial applications.
Synchro resolver full#
Using optional rack mounting brackets, the 5330A can be installed as a single unit in a full rack slot, or as a tandem mount of two units in a full rack slot. This self-calibrating unit is furnished with factory installed rubber feet and foldaway tilt stand, and can also be installed in a 3.5” half rack slot. As an option, a programmable 6 VA internal reference supply can be specified. In addition, IEEE-488, USB, and Ethernet interfaces have been added to extend remote operation capabilities. The versatility of this device has been substantially increased by incorporating dynamic modes that enable servo systems to be tested under various simulated stringent field conditions.Įach channel can be independently programmed for specific dynamic mode operations, including rotation (continuous or start-stop), sine, and square and ramp. Improved flexibility is provided by two fully independent outputs that can be used to simulate two separate Synchro or Resolver signals simultaneously, or can be combined to operate as two-speed outputs. This model represents a major step forward as it uses digital technology to produce Synchro and Resolver outputs.
Synchro resolver simulator#
All the ones I saw were pre 1970s units taken off military vessels.5330A Synchro/Resolver Simulator, Programmableĥ330A Synchro/Resolver Simulator is a rack mount or benchtop instrument featuring integrated touch screen controls and input terminals. Abstract: This paper describes the WesTest. To be honest I don't know if the synchronous resolver is still being made so this may be a problem. Anwendungen induktiver Spannungsteiler: Kalibrierung von Dmpfungs- und Brckennormalen sowie Synchro/Resolver-Brcken. VXI synchro/resolver measurement and simulation COTS hardware for Turkish Airforce F-16 depot program ATE. I'm not going to say on more on this because I think you should do some research (like is being hinted in the comments) and come up with a couple of examples of units that you can buy and that have data sheets so that they can be further analysed. From memory it can do a 360 degree determination of angle but at the neutral point of the rotor (halfway between stator coils, 45 degrees) it can be flipped 180 degrees and you wouldn't know the difference.
Synchro resolver generator#
They are just like a synchronous motor or generator used in industry but way smaller. Now here's where it gets a little sticky (mainly due to my memory) the other type of unit which you refer to as a resolver is two stator coils at 90 degrees (like you said) but I don't believe it can be used in the above example.ĮDIT - this section is incorrect but I've left it in so that I can be justifiably ridiculed and tormented by my error. A synchronous-resolver is probably what you refer to as a 'synchro' and like you say, it has three windings (on the stator) and also a rotor winding brought out on slip rings. Performance Check (1) Set synchro/resolver standard Es (MAX) OUTPUT switch to 11.8 V, decade control switches to 000.0000 degrees. The S-leads are wound 120 degrees apart so as you turn the shaft of. Typically 120VAC is connected to the R-leads which induces a voltage into the S-leads.

Synchros have 5 connections: 2 reference leads and 3 stator leads.

The accuracy appeared to be phenomenal and that's not a surprise given the cost of them. Synchros and resolvers are two different things.

Resolvers are used in robot control and radar system. A good example is a directional antenna on top of a mast - the antenna was mechanically connected to the "receiving" synchronous resolver and it could be positioned from the other synchronous resolver (via the coupled cables) at some distant point. A resolver is a variant of synchro and it has two stator windings displaced by 90 degrees, it can be used in a similar way as synchros to transmit data in a control chain using a resolver transmitter at one end and resolver control transformer at the other. all the stator windings coupled back to back and ditto the rotor windings, you could apply a single phase AC voltage to both rotors (via the slip rings) and if you physically rotated one unit, the other unit would track the physical movement. There use was in encoding (as you also said) but they had a great little feature in that if you wired two units back to back i.e. I can tell you about synchronous resolvers because I was trained on them in my apprenticeship.Ī synchronous-resolver is probably what you refer to as a "synchro" and like you say, it has three windings (on the stator) and also a rotor winding brought out on slip rings.
